mission statement

The purpose of the organization shall be to enrich the education of the students of Rough Hollow Elementary School by providing volunteer and financial support for their educational and recreational needs with the resources of RHE PTO; and foster relationships between the administration, staff, parents and the community by promoting open communication. Any RHE parent, guardian, or staff member who supports the purpose and basic policies of the organization, as set forth in its bylaws, shall be considered a member.

RHE WON! RHE WON! We collected 6,370 during the month of March to win H-E-B's Plastic Bag Challenge in our district!!! We won a $150 HEB gift card. Thank you to our Rattler Community for supporting our school and protecting our Earth!

Class shirts for the 25-26 school year are now available to order! Shirts will be delivered to school and distributed to the students early in the school year. It is suggested to order up a size for normal youth M-XL.

Welcome to our Foyer! May is a BUSY month. Thank you to our PTO Decorations Committee for making sure our Foyer has it all covered! Happy May - May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, May 5th is Cinco De Mayo, Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5th to the 9th and Mothers Day is May 11th.

Welcome to Camp Rocky, Staff Appreciation 2025! Our teachers and staff deserve the very best because they give the very best to Rough Hollow Elementary every day. They were treated to a week full of fun and treats by the PTO Staff Appreciation Commitee lead by our Head Camp Counselor @jenrobertson19 ! Thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers for making this week the ultimate camp experience!

The district is rolling out a new secure check in system that is replacing Raptor. All visitors new and returning will need to have an ID every time on campus.

The HEB Plastic Bag Challenge is now over, but we won’t have results for a while. Thank you to our RHE families for donating so many plastic bags, our final count was 6370 plastic bags!

Also, a special shoutout to Ms. Lani and her student leadership kids for collecting and counting all the bags!!!

To keep the initiative going, HEB is giving away one reusable bag on Earth Day, 4/22. See graphic below for more details!

For yesterday’s early release, the RHE teachers and staff were treated to a Ramadan lunch provided by five Muslim families from Rough Hollow Elementary: The Ahmed Family, Farooqui Family, Kidwai Family, Kurian-Ali Family, and the Mahmood Family. The food was catered by Almarah Grill Mediterranean Cusine.

On Early Release days, we like to treat our teachers with icy cold beverages from Guernica Cafe provided by the PTO!

Rough Hollow Elementary was in its VIP & Me Era on Friday night as we rolled out the red carpet for over 500 attendees to sparkle and shine! Thank you to everyone who made it, and a special great big thank you to our VIP & Me Dance Chair, Nolaska Souliotis, and all the volunteers who contributed to a successful event!
